About the Author

John Killah was born in Aberdeen, Scotland. 'Struck off' is his debut novel. Before qualifying as a solicitor he read English at the University of East Anglia and lived and worked abroad as a teacher. Following an early legal career in London that included working for a specialist film, television and music practice, john then moved to the West Country where he established himself as a criminal defence lawyer.
In addition to being a solicitor, he also ran his own marketing business as well as writing and campaigning on legal issues including the erosion of access to justice. He now concentrates on his creative writing and is currently working on his second novel. He is married and lives in Somerset.

Alice Keegan is a freelance graphic designer in Frome, Somerset. She grew up and went to school in Frome until leaving to study Creative Advertising at the University of Lincoln. After moving to London and working in the advertising industry, she then went on to study a Masters in Communication Design at Kingston University. She then worked in the music industry in London for 6 years where she became Creative Director of a small design agency.
Craving a more quiet life, she moved back to her home town of Frome and worked her way through designing branding and websites for many of the local businesses. John has been a long time client of hers and she was thrilled to work with him on the cover of his debut novel. She now balances her graphic design work with running a hiking group and a membership for women in the outdoors.
